Removing signalised intersections on Roe Highway to enhance road safety, traffic flow and create a more efficient freight route.
The Roe Highway intersection is one of the most utilised in Perth, and is known to be heavily congested with almost 60,000 vehicles passing through each day. With over 8,000 of the vehicles being heavy trucks, traffic easily accumulates whenever there are minor changes to regular traffic flow. With a higher than average number of crashes, the upgrade will drastically improve road safety for users alongside that of residents in nearby suburbs.
